Welcome to QRCraft - QR & Barcode Scanner (“the App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how (little) data is handled when you use the App.
Our Core Principle: All QR code and barcode scanning, generation, and batch processing happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, access, store, or transmit any scanned data, generated codes, images, or personal content to any external server, and we do not have the ability to view anything you scan or generate using the App.
Data Controller: This policy is provided by SSManha Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Contact: support@ssmanha.com
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children, as the App does not collect data at all (see below). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information directly (e.g., via email contact), please contact us and we will delete it.
We do not collect any of the following, ever: - Content of any QR code or barcode you scan (URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards, payment info, or any other encoded data) - Codes, images, or files you generate, including in batch mode - Camera images or video used to perform scanning - Personal information (name, email, address, etc.), except what you voluntarily provide by emailing us directly - Device identifiers or advertising IDs - Usage analytics, tracking data, or behavioural profiling - Location information - Contacts, social media, or account data - Cookies or tracking technologies of any kind (the App is a native mobile app and does not use cookies)
Data Handled by Google Play Services (outside our control): The following data may be collected by Google Play Services on Google’s behalf, governed entirely by Google’s Privacy Policy:
This data is transmitted directly between your device and Google, not through us. Where Google processes this data outside the UK/EEA, such transfers are governed by Google’s own safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses), as detailed in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Because we do not collect personal data through the App itself, our processing footprint is minimal. To the extent any data is processed (e.g., Google Play Billing verifying your subscription, or you emailing us directly), our legal basis is:
Retention: Temporary files are managed by the Android system. Local app data and preferences (e.g., stored via Room database) are deleted automatically when you clear the App’s data or uninstall it.
The App’s batch mode allows you to generate multiple QR codes or barcodes at once (for example, from a list of values you provide). All batch processing and file generation happens entirely on-device. The input list, generated codes, and output files are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party.
The App uses the following third-party libraries, which operate locally on-device or strictly under their own respective policies: Android CameraX, ML Kit / ZXing (barcode & QR scanning and generation), Google Play Billing, Room, Jetpack Compose, Gson.
In the unlikely event that a data breach occurs that affects any personal information we hold (e.g., data you’ve emailed us), we will notify affected users and, where legally required, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), without undue delay and in line with UK GDPR requirements.
Where we hold any personal data about you (e.g., emails you’ve sent us), you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@ssmanha.com. We will respond within one month, as required by UK GDPR.
The App is designed for general audiences aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has contacted us directly with personal data, please reach out and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
